Our StreetwYze team is out in the heart of the community—connecting with young people where they live, socialise, and spend time. This evening-based street work is a vital part of our approach, allowing us to reach those who may not engage through traditional school or service settings.

We focus on:

• Early Intervention: Identifying and supporting young people at risk of anti-social behaviour, gang involvement, or social isolation.

• Relationship Building: Creating safe, trusting environments where young people feel heard, respected, and supported.

• Partnership Working: Collaborating with schools, youth services, Police Scotland, and other agencies to ensure joined-up support.

• Responsive Engagement: Adapting our approach to meet the needs of each community, whether that’s tackling territorial tensions, supporting mental health, or addressing substance misuse.

Our street work is not just about presence—it’s about purpose. We listen, we guide, and we help young people see a different path.

StreetwYze’s outreach programme is designed to respond to real-time challenges in communities—especially during spikes in youth violence or unrest. We take a restorative, trauma-informed approach, working directly with young people affected by or involved in conflict.

Key features include:

• Crisis Response: Rapid deployment of outreach teams to areas experiencing increased violence or gang activity.

• Restorative Practice: Facilitating dialogue between young people in conflict, helping them find common ground and move forward.

• Hard-Hitting Workshops: Using real-life stories—including testimonies from young people in prison—to explore the consequences of violence, knife crime, and destructive behaviour.

• Collaborative Delivery: Working alongside Police Scotland and other partners to provide legal education, emotional support, and pathways to change.

• Youth-Led Engagement: Encouraging young people to shape the programme, take ownership of their choices, and become positive influencers in their communities.

This work is intense, emotional, and deeply impactful. It’s about turning pain into purpose—and giving young people the tools to rewrite their story.
