FARE Sports Programme

FARE Sports Programme overview.

Our FARE Sports Programme is designed for anyone aged 16-24 who has a passion for sport and is interested in pursuing a career in the industry or progressing into further or higher education in this field.

The course offers a supportive environment to help participants overcome any barrier they may face, while developing skills, confidence, and the experience needed to move forward.

    • Sport-specific sessions delivered by experienced local coaches

    • Workshops from external organisations, including YouthScotland

    • SFA e-learning courses in child wellbeing and mental health in football

    • Practical experience through volunteering with FARE programmes or external organisations

    • Mock interviews with FARE Scotland to prepare for college or job opportunities

    • Emergency First Aid at Work

    • Understanding Mental Health First Aid

    • Health and Safety in the Workplace

    • Identifying skills and qualities

    • Understanding workplace responsibilities

    • CV creation and application writing

    • Interview techniques
